  1. How do i select the ideal installation specialist?
  2. There are a few key recommendations. First, always check that your installer is licensed or suitably qualified to undertake the paving and other ancillary works you are engaging him to do. Second, always ask the prospective installers for references to see whether or not they have the necessary skills and experience to lay our larger format pavers. Ideally you should inspect some of his previous work and speak to the referees provided to ascertain his level of competence. Third, ensure that the full scope of works to be undertaken is fully understood by your nominated contractor, and that he is capable of installing your new paving in accordance with our recommendations and acceptable industry practices.

  4. No we don’t, however if you visit any one of our sales centers they can recommend a number of trades people who can quote and install with the professionalism you expect from Urbanstone Central.

  5. Are the Archistone Engineered limestone blocks dimensionally accurate?
  6. Yes, due to the method and machinery Archistone use, the blocks dimensions are between +/- 3mm.

  7. Can I buy the Archistone Engineered block with a beveled face?
  8. Yes, Most of our blocks are available with either a plain or beveled face, it’s your choice.

  9. Can I buy finishing products such as pier caps and bullnoses?
  10. Yes, we produce a range of both that will suit any walling or landscaping need.

  11. Do you sell Mortar for my DIY job?
  12. Yes, we stock a range of products to help you complete your projects including mortar and sealers.

  13. Can I pick up the product myself?
  14. Absolutely! We have a number of centers that always hold products for your convenience. We can even help by providing a trailer free of charge… And if it’s just too hard… We’ll deliver.

  15. Does engineered limestone need to be sealed?
  16. Whilst engineered limestone, being a manufactured product, is denser than natural limestone it can still discolour and therefore it is advisable to seal the stone if the original colour is to be retained.

  17. What is engineered limestone?
  18. Engineered limestone is a manufactured product made from natural limestone. It is crushed then mixed with cement to make blocks of various sizes.

  19. What is the difference between natural and engineered limestone?
  20. Natural limestone is cut directly from the floor of the quarry and supplied as dimensional cut blocks, whereas engineered limestone is a manufactured product made utilising crushed natural limestone and cement.

  21. Which is the best way to finish the joints when laying limestone?

  23. How is limestone delivered to site?
  24. Limestone is always delivered on pallets. Housing blocks to be transported long distances are shrink wrapped and travel well.
